The Iowa Civil Rights Commission will host its 4th Annual Iowa Civil Rights Symposium and 1st "Build It Right Iowa" Conference on October 28, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. at the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates, 100 Locust Street, Des Moines, Iowa. The Registration Form, with topics and schedule, is available here.
Cost: Individuals seeking continuing education credit pay $100. Government employees and all others pay $30. Checks will be accepted. Cash will be accept only if paid in advance. No cash will be accepted on the day of the event.
Lunch: Lunch is included in the cost if registered before October 21, 2016. Lunch will not be included in any registration received on or after October 21, 2016.
Parking: Attendees may use to public parking available in the area. There is paid parking on the street and in parking garages. Free parking is available in the State of Iowa Parking Structure located at 650 East Grand Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa. Attendees who park at this location may take DART’s D-Line Trolley from its stop at East 6th Avenue and East Grand Avenue to its stop at Second Avenue and Grand Avenue, which is one block north of the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates. For the return trip, attendees may board the Trolley at its stop at Locust Street and Second Avenue and disembark at the stop at East Sixth Avenue and East Grand Avenue. The Trolley is free and runs every 10 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additional information on DART's D-Line Trolley, including a map of its route, can be found here.
